Using the Left Menu

The Children's Services Student Guide uses a menu on the left to organize:

Books

Click a book on the left menu to expand it and display pages within the topic.

Click the book again to collapse the open book.

Right Mouse Button

For any link in this book:

If you would like it to open in a new window, or tab, Right Click the link.

Then click:

Open in a New Tab

Open in a New Window.

Printing PDFs:

If a form request you write on it and you do not see a print Icon mouse over the bottom of the page.

The PDF controls will appear.

Following Page Navigation

If you are viewing New Child Welfare Worker Orientation for the first time, we recommend following the web site pages as they are listed.

Click the NEXT link at the bottom of each page to proceed to the next page.
Use the BACK button on your browser toolbar to view a previous page, or to return from a page link.
Click the red 'X' in the top right corner to exit pages or the Student Guide.

The Field Activity Log document is provided in the “Field Activity Log Book (10)”.

Click the corresponding program (CPS, FC or Adoption) to print the Field Activity Logs to track your progress through the Pre-Service Institute.

Other Important Information

You can enter or exit this student guide at any time.

Please explore all the links in this guide.

Work with your Supervisor when needed. Your Supervisor may want to schedule time with you to complete a certain section and review your progress.
